Here’s a NEW EXCELLENT 1980s Resistol, Cattleman Cowboy Hat, size 7-1/2 (we know the tag states 7-3/8 but this measures to a PERFECT 7-1/2!), 15X Beaver. This is the older vintage 15X Beaver!  Nothing like you find in todays or yesterdays hats! It’s so rare to find these hats anymore, in such OUTSTANDING a condition! This was found in its original box too. The box is still in excellent condition! With the original hat holding inserts set.

So we describe this as a Cattleman but it’s slightly more modified than the standard cattleman style. If you look closely you can see more of a Shovel Brim and the slight angle of the from brim that is slightly dipped down. It’s just a very beautiful shaping job that was done to this fine hat! It looks like on of the popular modern Cowboy styles!

This appears unworn. This hat belongs to my son! Not one out of dad’s collection. After he bought it and it was delivered it was a size too large for him so he just put it away. Until now, dad has a hat the my son is buying from him. 

So one of our collector buyers had questions about the sewn joint on the leather sweatband because the picture makes it look different, not sure why it’s coming out like that? It is PERFECT! So we added a picture at the end with my finger underneath the sewn joint so you can see it in much better detail.

NOTE: after we listed this my grandson did some final inspections. He says he can see that even though it has been cleaned up with only a horsehair brush and it looked perfect inside the home, it could use a bit more cleaning? If you look very very closely you can see a super tiny spec that dad says was originally part of the hat? A tiny impurity that got into the beaver vat. It’s really nothing but we want you to blow up the pictures so you can see every detail since we took pictures of every angle. It’s that tiny tiny thin what looks like a dot? It’s harder to describe so look at the pictures please. NO ONE WILL EVER SEE OR NOTICE! But dad says it’s normal to see these on any very light colored hats. Yes we know they are near impossible to see ss,

These older 15X Beaver hats are so easy to with! This is very soft and semi-pliable and just what you’d expect from that era of Resistol Hats.

NOTE: the hat box is an option in this sale. It’s a large box so it’s costing more to ship. The box measurements are about 18X 15X 8+ inches, it’s a BIG hat box to fit this hat! If you want the hat box shipping will be $38.20.

The was a hat tag states 7-3/8 and but this measures to a perfect 7-1/2 at 23-1/2 inches. We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify the size, whether tagged or not.
