A delightful miniature Japanese Satsuma vase, I believe it’s from the Meiji period, so dating from the mid to late 19th century.

It stands 6cm tall and has a compressed body rising to a slender neck and is beautifully decorated with polychrome enamels and gold. On the rim there is a spot of gold paint that is out of line with the decoration, it looks like a nibble but it’s only paint.

In excellent antique condition, there is age-related crazing throughout and just the slightest wear to the gilding.

Please see all photos as they form the description of the condition.
