A Farewell to Arms

by Ernest Hemingway

First edition, first printing, first issue

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. First edition, first printing, first issue lacking the disclaimer on page x. First printing dustwrapper has blurb on the front flap reading "Katharine Barclay" instead of the correct spelling "Catherine Barkley".  Bound in publisher's original black cloth with bronze title label printed in black to spine and upper board. Very Good+ with fading to spine cloth, light rubbing to edges; pages lightly toned. In a Very Good+ first issue dust jacket with Katherine Barclay, with edge wear, toning. A lovely copy.

I am selling much of the Hemingway collection I have acquired over the years.  (Please see the last photo of this listing for an example of what I will be selling here.)  Many 1sts editions; B items; Hemingway as published in the little magazines in the 1920s including This Quarter (Big Two-Hearted River), The Little  Review, The Transatlantic Review, etc; original family photographs; original photos with notations on the back in Hemingway's hand; and more.   Please message me if you are interested in specific items.
