Love them or hate them, these colourful motherboards from ECS (EliteGroup) are wonderful examples of the enthusiast overclocking era of 2005. Purple, Luminous Green, Orange, Red, Yellow, Blue, White - they just went for every colour they could.

This board has been used, but all of the capacitors are looking healthy. It underwent my usual testing routine and passed with flying colours. I've installed a new CMOS battery.

The box exterior is starting to show show its age - with the laminate peeling in places from the card, but still great to see it come with the original box.

The accessories here (cable, 3.5" bay) have all been installed with the machine and used and then put back in the box when it was dismantled - but they are the original parts. As such the cables look used and the beige 3.5" bay has some yellowing.

The first time I turned it on, the fan did make a little noise but it quickly stopped. I didn't see a way to lubricate the bearings without removing the sticker on the top and I didn't want to ruin to aesthetic.

I do have heatsinks, processors and RAM to go with this - so drop me a line if you want to make this up to a full combo.

It will be dispatched same day, externally wrapped and protected to keep the box in its current condition.
