Solid Silver Waltham Pocket Watch circa 1901
In Full Working Order.

Case : solid sterling silver bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1901 with a makers mark of AB on behalf of the Waltham Watch Co. Ltd. Case is in  good condition with some surface scratching commensurate with age, and some previous inspection marks. All closures snap shut, tight and secure, with all hinges are in good order with the bezel in good order. Press the top button down,  and with help as the catch does not fully release, the rear cover opens to reveal the watch winding aperture. Inside the rear and on the movement cover, a little light pitting to the silver  with the case having a serial number present of 708. The rear cover has lost practically all of the engine turning having a blank car touché. Rear cover does have a little light denting present, with the coined edge have a couple of minor dents in the 3:00 region.

Bow Assembly : in good condition with the bow being secure.

Crystal : is of glass, clear and free from surface scratches being a replacement.

Dial : is in MINT condition the being free from hairline cracks or chipping to the edge of the dial. Dial is white with black Roman numerals and sub second dial present. All hands are present and are in excellent condition with the hour and minute hands being gold with the second hand being blue steel in colour. Under the 12:00 region seen A.W.W.Co. Waltham Mass.

Movement : Full plate 7 jewelled  movement with split bimetallic balance having a breguet hairspring running the full length of the wind, and keeping good time, +/- 2 minutes a day or better. The watch has been fully serviced with the balance having a good working action in all positions. This is a grade Am. W Co. model 1883 being 18s in size. The gilding remains in very good condition with a couple of very light scratches present and is free from any corrosion. On the movement seen serial number of 10247092 putting the year of manufacture to circa 1901. Watch is key wound and set and a replacement key is supplied with the watch.

A good working antique Waltham pocket watch.

and further adjustments may be necessary to improve the performance stated.
