A Victorian sterling silver trinket box or dressing table powder box hallmarked London, 1896 by maker William Comyns, with retail mark for Thornhill & Co, High St. Kensington W. With tight fitting lift off domed lid with "Jean" engraved to cartouche, all over repousse scroll decoration to body and lid with crimped edges, good heavy gauge silver. In excellent condition with some small knocks to the edges. 7cm diameter lid x 7.5cm high.
