Very pretty vintage 1960s/1970s French porcelain handmade apothecary / pharmacy jar.

Has a decorative hand painted etiquette with flowers and the inscription 'Opium' in the centre, and signed at the base with the makers initials.

As it is handmade, there are imperfections.
There is some 'wobble' to the shape - this would have happened when it was made rather than damage. The same applies to the many tiny pin sized holes - these are like air bubbles that were trapped beneath the glaze.

There signs of wear but it still looks great displayed or it being used. There are chips to the glaze on the inside of the lid and at the base of the pot. There is a small repair at the base, but it's barely visible - please see the last photo.

Measurements are...

Height with lid - 14.5 cm
Diameter at base - 7 cm
