Antique 19th Century French Empire flame mahogany writing table in original condition. The top section has three short drawers over a leather writing insert above a fitted drawer. It is raised on cylindrical columnar legs joined by H stretchers. Nice original piece with character. As this is an original antique it has some age related marks as would be expected for its age (see photos) but it is a good honest sturdy piece and ready to use. Would look good as a side piece with lamp on or just use as a desk - very versatile.
The dimensions of the desk are as follows- The height of the desk at the front from the floor to the bottom of the drawer is 59cm, the height from the floor to the desk top with the leather insert is 74cm and the height at the back including the top shelf with the drawers under is 83 cm . The desk is 81cm long and 52cm deep, the flat writing part of the desk is 34cm deep.
