The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.

Here we offer the first book club edition of the epic science fiction novel, Frank Herbert's
Dune, published by Chilton Book Company, Radnor, PA, in 1965. As they are book club editions and do not update print order, there is no way to determine when they were actually printed or purchased. Some collectors ascribe orders based on the gutter code, which in this case is 14P. The book comes complete with its original dust jacket. Also included is a laminated map of the Lands of Dune.

Boards have only minor wear (please see pics.)  Intact endpapers are uninscribed. Light moisture staining atop text block (please see pic). Binding is very tight and square; the text is very clean, bright and crisp. 507 pages. The book measures approximately 8.5 x 6-inches. The dust jacket has typical edgewear and soiling with small chips at edges where you see the white acid-free backing paper showing through. It comes sleeved in ph-neutral mylar and ready to slip into your collection.

This iconic first will make a wonderful addition to your collection or a very thoughtful gift.
