RAILROADS
CB&Q COLOR GUIDE TO FREIGHT & PASSENGER EQUIPMENT M.J. SPOOR 1995 1ST.
I wish I could tell you that I am nearing the finish of my stash of
railroad-related books but alas, the fun goes on! Digging into the piles, I recently found a
series of Color Guides to Equipment which online seem to have some appeal for
collectors. Herewith the first of a few
that I found and will be listing in the next day or so. This one is titled: “CB&Q Color Guide
to Freight and Passenger Equipment,” by Michael J. Spoor. This large but somewhat slender hard cover
book (8 ¾ x 11 ¼ inches, 128 pages) was published by Morning Sun Books, dated
1995 and the First Printing (so stated).
The book is bound in dark red boards with white decorations and titles
on cover and spine and protected by a high gloss pictorial dust jacket. Please see the photo of the Index for your
further information. It is, as the title
demands, amply illustrated with full-color photos throughout. This particular copy is still in the
shrink wrap although I have another copy, in near fine condition, to be
listed after this one sells, which has allowed me to take some photos.
Condition:
This book is in near fine condition.
Because of the shrink wrap, the book is untouched, unblemished and
tight, sound and square.
Shipping:
This book will be very carefully packed, with bubble wrap and solid cardboard
protection and promptly mailed upon payment.
Please note that I do not charge for packing and handling; all you pay
is the postage and sometimes not all of that!
Postage to US addresses for this
large-sized but somewhat slender hard cover book will be only $4.30 for media
mail. Combined shipping for multiple
purchases is gladly offered. You will
pay full price for the shipping of the first book and half price for any others
purchased that same week. For example,
two books with shipping at $4 each will ship for $6 combined.
The eBay
site has become so popular that it is difficult to find your way back to a
seller with an interesting array of listings.
Please consider “book-marking” my site so you can see a constantly
changing inventory of other truly vintage books and/or collectible works,
including many more railroad-related works.
Please also
be aware that all my current listings
are “spring & summer season” listings held here in New York State. Once it starts getting cold again, perhaps in
December, I will head south to winter quarters in Florida, ending these
listings and reverting to another catalogue of different books held there.
Please don’t hesitate to send any questions; I will monitor
closely and respond promptly. Thanks,
and enjoy.
