True vintage 1970s, La Castellana Italy, long nightdress/slip and matching long robe in striking 'pistachio' green semi-transparent slightly ribbed feel fabric, which falls beautifully and has some stretch to it, with very pretty quality floral matching green lace detailing. Bought from Harrods department store, Knightsbridge lingerie department - in 1974 to be exact. Both the nightdress/slip & the robe/dressing gown have v-neck lines with semi-transparent lace at the fronts and around the back of the neck, with a thin scalloped line of lace around the arm openings (for the dress), around the hemlines & around the back of the upper waist-lines to meet at the front lace. Both are slightly a-line in shape - designer cut in panels.
The robe has 3/4 three quarter sleeves wide 'flutter' sleeves, with an extra sheer piece of green chiffon over the fabric, with the pretty lace detailing at the sleeve ends. The robe closes with 1 little inner green fabric covered button on a loop. At the front middle there is a thick beige/light gold ribbon tied in a flat bow at the top, with long flowing ends.So lovely. They are sweeping long.
In very good condition, except that I can see 2 tiny dots on the back of the robe & 1 small stain on the left lower front (probably tea/coffee) honestly not that noticeable and professional could remove. No fabric label - appears to be thick quality nylon and quality lace.
Labels read 'La Castellana', '42' (Italian size), 'Creazioni Italiana'
