Joseph Cornell inspired Surrealist assemblage sculpture in the form of a birdhouse telephone. Rotary dial has a 312 area code for Chicago, actually all of Northern Illinois at the time it was operable. Speaking of which, this is a sculpture, not a functioning phone and only suitable as housing for starving artist or student type birds who are accustomed to a rustic lack of modern amenities. Measures about 14in x 9in x 9in. Condition: Excellent crusty old stuff condition.
