This design is based on cases made in the early nineteenth century I make these to fit most simple system flutes in three, four or five parts. Most early flute cases were built of pine and overlaid with decorative veneers and on this case it is exceptionally figured Brazilian Rosewood of very limited supply, accented with boxwood stringing. The interior is lined with velvet and leather and there are divided sections for the flute body, fitted tenon supports for the center section, head tube with tuning slide, and lower section in one or two parts. The case has machined brass hinges and polished steel securing hooks. There are also supports for a cleaning rod and a covered storage compartment. The box is lightly finished with a French polish and lined on the underside with the same velvet as the interior. This case should fit flutes with sections no longer than twelve inches. THE FLUTE IS NOT INCLUDED!  No international shipping due to restrictions on this Rosewood.
