1962 Hermes 3000 Portable Typewriter. Techno Elite typeface - 13 CPI.  Includes copy of Hermes 3000 instruction booklet and one cleaning brush. The platen rubber is new (JJ Short Company).  It has received new Hermes carriage knobs. There is new rubber for the case/typewriter feet. It is in very good operating condition (it would be excellent operating condition except that the broken spring loaded margin red ribbon has been removed. A portion of the existing ribbon was left as a strip for cosmetic purposes - see photos. The margin setting mechanics operate as they should, you just do not see the settings indicated on the paper bail bar). This typewriter is in overall good cosmetic condition with blemishes mostly on the body panel (see photos). The case is in good condition, all latches all work as they should.

Typewriter has been meticulously cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. It is super clean, and I would guess that everything operates as smooth as it did when it was born. New black/red ribbon installed. All operations have been tested and are in excellent order (exception of the margin indicator red ribbon).

Like the other Hermes I have listed, this is an amazing and beautiful typing machine ready to display and use for many years to come.

I have refurbished many typewriters over the years and take great care to bring great typewriters back to ready to use working condition. I carefully pack each typewriter.
