A antique English Stag Hoof Commemorative Hunting Trophy. It is mounted with a Sterling Silver Collar and Commerative Plaque by London Silversmiths Horace Woodward & Co and is beautifully engraved by hand with  - FROM THE LAST STAG - DURING Mr BASSETS MASTERSHIP - FOUND IN CULBONE WOOD - KILLED AT HORNER - OCT 31ST 1892. It is mounted with a unhallmarked silver chain for hanging and measures  2 1/4" or 57 mm wide x 6 1/2" or 16.5 cm long, with the chain adding approx 2 1/2" or 64 mm to its length. A rare dated trophy from the Victorian period, which is in good condition. Please see photos. I have similar Deer hoof items listed from the same collection and will combine postage.
