Pigalle (after), Young Girl Bust Late 19th Century in Resin
A bust of a smiling young girl wearing braided hair and a ribbon.  In artistic resin, on a dark resin base. It looks so much like antique or patinated bronze, when I first picked it up, I was surprised (and glad) it was not heavier.
After Jean Baptiste Pigalle (1714-1785) Period: late 19th century – early 20th century. Height 8", Length 8", Depth 4".  Excellent condition.
Pigalle, Jean-Baptiste was a French sculptor. Influenced by baroque art and neo-classical art, Pigalle's art is offers a lovely combination of both.
I would place this delightful, smiling young lady on a mantlepiece, shelf or even as a dining table centerpiece with some dried flowers around her.
Will make a nice addition to your home or office.
