Angora is the wool produced by angora rabbits. No other animal produces angora. Confusingly, angora goats don’t produce angora, their fibre is called mohair. There is no such thing as ‘goat angora’.

Angora wool yarn is soft, silky and has thin fibers. The fibers are also hollow, this is why products made from angora wool are warmer and lighter and have this characteristic floating feel. Because of being a warm yarn and having short fibers, angora is often blended with other wool types, for example lambs wool or cashmere wool.

Because rabbits do not possess the same allergy-causing qualities as many other animals, their wool is an important alternative. French Angora is superior to any other rabbit hair with extra long, silky fibers.  Extremely warm, this lighter than air yarn feels sumptuous against the skin.
