THE NIGHT STALKER and THE NIGHT STRANGLER by Jeff Rice

First Printings of the two TV tie-in novels based on the popular TV movies, in very fine condition!

These first edition mass market paperbacks were published by Pocket Books in 1973 and 1974. Although written BEFORE the release of the highly-rated TV Movie, The Night Stalker (originally titled The Kolchak Papers, then The Kolchak Tapes) was published AFTER it had aired, to cash in on the popularity that greeted the TV Movie, which led to the sequel TV movie The Night Strangler and the short-lived (but fondly-remembered and highly influential) TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

These books are in very fine condition and appear to be unread (or very carefully read). As one might expect from 50-year-old mass-market paperbacks, they have some occasional chipping to the artwork edges on both covers, and THE NIGHT STRANGLER has a slight diagonal crease to the upper-left corner of its back cover; please see the photos below.
