The earliest recorded postal activity is from the USS Chaumont. The Chaumont processed mail on Wake Island, August 2nd, 1933, with slogan cancel, Wake Island Mid Pacific.
-On December 20, 1929, a person from St Paul, Minnesota attempted to mail a letter to Wake Island but it never made due to no postal facilities located at Wake.
