Licorice Pizza was a record store chain from Los Angeles, CA. The first location was founded by James Greenwood in 1969 in Long Beach. The store grew into one of the most reputable and well-regarded record shops in the state, and not just because they gave away free licorice. Sadly, the stores closed in 1986 when they were bought by Sam Goody. However, Licorice Pizza got a whole new generation of fans after director Paul Thomas Anderson named his 2021 movie after the store. This original Licorice Pizza store shirt, with a couple light marks, is from the 1970s.

70’s Signal Tag

Shows some light storage staining under the front graphic in photos. Have not tried to soak/clean/wash. Two very small pin holes shown as well.

Own a nice little piece of Los Angeles Music History with this rare shirt.
