This Uher 4000 Report - L is a piece of broadcasting history.
For years, it was the standard audio recorder used by reporters and new crews in the 1960's.
This example received very little use, estimated at only a few hours and is pristine.
The reels turn intermittently and the motor is occasionally noisy. I have not been able to test the electronic circuitry or microphone, although the VU meter shows activity.The unit clearly will need some TLC to run again.
The leather case and strap show their age and are dry and brittle.
