This hasn't many artists in the history of music who have changed an industry overnight and continue to influence music culture 30 years after their peak of popularity. Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana bandmates emerged as generational and brilliant artists in the early '90s. The sound's combination of harsh, heavy tones, punk-inspired energy, and melodic catchiness quickly attracted millions of fans and propelled grunge and alternative rock into the mainstream music scene. A miracle happened.
Kurt has played many Fender guitars over the years, but the Jaguar(R) and Mustang(R) guitars used on his Nevermind tour and in the SmellsLikeTeenSpirit music video are among the most iconic. Kurt combined his favorite elements from these two instruments to design the Jag-Stang(R), which he brought to life in 1993 with the help of Fender Custom Shop.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's masterpiece Nevermind, Kurt's ideal Jag-Stang guitar has been released. The alder body produces a punchy tone perfect for powerful power chords, and the 24-inch short scale design reduces string tension, making it easy to play.The maple neck with a 7.25-inch radius rosewood fingerboard is comfortable. Achieve chord playing. Vintage-style single coils and custom humbuckers recreate kart's classic tone. The Mustang slider switch provides the flexibility to dial in four different settings, providing a variety of in-out phase tones.
