SIZING

The dress is tagged a size 7/8, but vintage sizes tend to run smaller than modern sizes.  I believe this dress is closer to a modern size 4 (Small).   The actual measurements are as follows:

Bust: 17 inches across, underarm to underarm (34 inches around)
Natural Waist:  13.5 inches across (27 inches around, measured at the narrowest part of the dress)
Drop Waist/Upper Hips: 19 inches across (38 inches around. The hips are very full past the drop waist seam)
Length: 47 inches from the shoulder to the hem down the front; 58 inches down the back

Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. 

DESCRIPTION

This is lovely vintage prom gown from the 1980s that was made in the USA.  The dress is made out of a vibrant teal blue green satin that is very shiny.  The bodice of the dress is lined in acetate, and the skirt is unlined.  The dress has short puff sleeves with elastic at the shoulders, and there are also spaghetti straps that go over the shoulders.  The dress has a sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice that is ruched.  There is a large bow accent on one hip. The skirt is higher in the front and full length in the back, and it is flared with a very wide sweep at the hem.  The dress closes with a zipper down the back. 

CONDITION

This dress is in very good vintage condition. The lining of the dress is discolored in the underarm area (see last picture for example) but this is only on the inside of the dress and is not visible when the dress is worn!

Shipping:

I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday.  I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day). If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible! 

PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!  

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I am happy to ship internationally, but please note that as the buyer, you are responsible for any taxes or duties your customs office might charge on packages coming from the USA.  

Clothing Condition:

The large majority of the items in my store are vintage and/or pre-owned.  I will list any major flaws in the item description.  However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear.  Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged.  By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect. However, if you feel I have overlooked a major flaw, please let me know!
