New Haven Railroad Lantern N.Y.N.H.H. RR
Vintage Railroad Lantern for the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad.
Wonderful find, this aqua blue / teal globe railroad lantern made by the Dietz Vesta of New York.
(In the railroad community this is known as a green lantern).
This Dietz Vesta lantern was used by the New York, New Haven, & Hartford Railroad, commonly just called the New Haven railroad.
The lantern is dated with a manufacture date S-2-51, meaning it was made at the Syracuse NY Plant in February 1951.
The top of the lantern is marked N.Y.N.H.& H., and the glass globe is etched N.H.R.R.

***Special note: Yes, the lantern globe is aqua blue or teal colored in natural light, although once you light the lantern the yellow flame color makes the globe glow in a greenish color.
The signal green globe means it was used to signal "Proceed with Caution".

Circa, 1951
Marked, N.Y.N.H.&H.
