This Lionel limited edition radioactive waste flat car with waste containers is brand new and was only ever opened to take the photographs you see in this listing. This seems a little more substantial than most rolling stock in that it has all metal trucks and knuckle couplers. I was surprised when I opened the box to see that this was an illuminated car as it does not mention it on the outside of the box. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I put it on a test track and it lit up! Needless to say, I was blown away when they started alternately flashing (yes, I'm easily impressed😏). It comes from the temperature controlled storage unit of a hobby store that closed down in the early 90s. The box is in fair condition with some crushing on one side and shows some fading. I have tried to show this in all of the pictures to the best of my ability. There is some shelf wear and some residue from where the 30 plus year old price tag fell off of it. Shipping will be via USPS Ground Advantage and the car will be shipped in a new and sturdy cardboard box with bubble wrap as necessary to keep it from banging around.
