Early 20th Century Oil Painting ‘Farmyard Cottage with Chickens, Hoarwithy’ Frank Moss Bennett


In lovely condition! Oil on board, sitting in a gorgeous decorative gilt frame. (Display stand not included) Stamped Christie’s South Kensington, Frank Moss Bennett. Unsigned but Christie’s have confirmed it’s an original & painted by Moss Bennett.


Frank Moss Bennett (1874-1952) was a painter in oils and watercolours, and also a designer of costume figures. He was born in Liverpool and studied at Clifton College, then Slade School of Fine Art, St John’s Wood Art School and Royal Academy Schools where he won a gold medal and travelling scholarship. He showed at Dudley Gallery, RA, RI and Paris Salon and lived in London.


Items are in antique/vintage/used condition, so some signs of imperfection & wear are to be

expected & add to the character & charm’
