I am pleased to offer from my private collection this RARE antique  Verge Fusee desk clock ,made for the Imperial Rus Court of Empress Cathrine II The Great c1769.

The clock is in form of the gilt silver Easter Egg mounted in the Royal Coach.
The egg opens to reveal a fine enamel dial which depicts the portrait of Empress Catherine II.
The egg is hand engraved with the Cathrine II personal monogram  E II,beneath the royal crown and decorated with natural Garnet precious stones.
 The back side of the egg is engraved XB in Cyrillic for "Christ is Risen".
The egg is engraved "In memory 1769"
The coach has a functional wheels so it can move.

The clock has a  Verge Fusee movement.

All the parts original.Nothing has been ever changed or replaced or repaired in this clock!
A real museum piece.

Hallmarked with 84 silver hallmark,with the assay master's hallmark with the year 1769 and with the city hallmark of St.George.
