This is  very rare to find comical large ale jug produced by Royal Doulton in England.

It depicts on the front a man with walking stick and eye covering (probably injuries sustained from last visit to the pub!) going away from the Kings Arms tavern with a small dog following behind along with the words "Quarrelling Dogs Come Halting Home". On the back a knocked over ale jug is shown with the words "More than enough is too much".

The black Royal Doulton backstamp dates this piece to being produced between 1902 and 1922, and I would suggest that it is nearer the earlier part of that period.

It is of a good size measuring 8 inches (20 cms) tall and is 7 1/2 inches (19 cms) wide (from edge of handle to spout).

I habe not been able to find any information about this piece from the internet.

It has a number of faults, but overall it is still presentable as a display piece. Faults include crazing to varying degrees all over, chips to base rim and cracks to and around the base. Please take a look at the photos (which you should be able to zoom in upon) to judge the condition for yourself as these form part of this item description.
