Lima L204605, a Class 37 diesel 37610 in 'DRS' Blue livery, She is a Special Edition, produced for Rail Express, and was introduced by Lima in 1998.

She's in excellent condition and free from damage or  'handling' marks. There is one insignificant issue to mention, two of the buffers are very loose. It took me two days to find one when it dropped out and, not noticing until I was doing the pictures, it so nearly disappeared forever in the vacuum cleaner so best I leave them both off in case they come adrift without the buyer noticing. The buffer housings aren't split so an easy resolve. The undersides are clean with the wheels showing signs of moderate use only. She's a lovely looking loco and I'd say that she's pretty close to mint condition body wise.

The box is in sound condition but with some wear mainly around the flap areas. The cellophane window was coming adrift at both ends and I have reglued this to avoid it getting worse taking the loco out.  The Lima Special Edition Certificate (417of 550) is in the box.  The poly tray is in good order and holds both buffers is in a twist of tissue.

She has not been run in the ten plus years that I've owned her and I have just tried a short test run on a rolling road. Whilst I can hear a feint whine coming from the motor as it tries to run, aside from the slightest of flickers, the drive wheels don't rotate. I didn't want to push it in case I damage the motor so in essence she's currently a non runner although I believe a good service following her long lay up would cure her ills.

Please look carefully at the photos which form part of the description. I want everyone to bid with confidence so I always do my best to fully describe the locomotive openly and fairly but if you have any queries just drop me a line.

I've built up an extensive collection of mainly steam locos over the years having been fortunate enough to catch their final years. Most have come from various auctions but sadly I've just run out of space so time for some serious thinning out. The last thing I want to do is disappoint anyone so it's important to be clear that I'm more of a 'display collector' than a 'runner' and it follows that my knowledge generally on the technical side is fairly basic. I've invested in a rolling road to at least check that the motor runs but beyond that I'm not qualified to make further comment I'm afraid.

I will dispatch to many locations outside the UK but only those listed through eBay's Global Shipping Program.

On postage, I’m sorry that this is so high. Sadly for everyone delivery costs have shot up recently across the board. I send out everything valued at over £25 signed for and fully covered compensation wise and whilst sometimes I have to make a little bit of an estimate I only ever seek to recover the direct cost to me.

I'll line the tray with tissue and put a thin foam layer across the top of the tray to help prevent rub in transit.
