This beautifully crafted richly colored vintage Mexican sterling bracelet is part of an exciting estate of a professional ballet and modern dancer who traveled and collected silver jewelry throughout her career. The bracelet—which is all handmade, marked Sterling 925 and Made in Taxco, Mexico is a wonderful example of chunky but classic hand crafted styling that was so popular in the 1950s and continues to be collected and worn today (see photos). The piece, which is in very good vintage condition, is made of separately set deeply colored semi-precious stones—golden agate, turquoise, amethyst, green agate, lapis and black onyx (see photos). The stones move sinuously around the wrist when worn. Each oval stone is set in a rather hefty sterling bezel and backing; each measures about 7/8” across by 5/8” deep (see photos). The entire bracelet measures about 7 1/8””around when closed (see photos).
