Considered by some to be some of Selmer’s finest workmanship, we acquired this much-played “CT” #P2488 and lovingly restored it with new double bladder pads and corks. Please see the photographs. We believe it was made in 1952. This instrument has been much played and the logo engraving is well-worn. No cracks, mechanism tight, raw nickel silver mechanism. Has had a crack professionally pinned in the upper joint in the past. It has two barrels (short and long) and one has had a crack repaired. We re-cased it in a good case. Comes with the Selmer Paris hard rubber mouthpiece that had been used with it. Own the model made famous by Benny Goodman that is ideal for both jazz and all-around playing. $800 plus $25 shipping within the Continental U.S.

Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either before playing it or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
