Why buy from me?
I'm a collector and a reader like you. Unless you're a robot or a werewolf or something. Then I'm not like you. But if you're a guy or gal who loves reading/buying/collecting comics, and just wants a fair deal, then I'm like you. I'm not a flipper. Not a store. Not a dealer. I sell books so I can buy other books. The books I'm selling come from a smoke-free, pet-free house. If you look at my rating, you'll see I've been doing the eBay thing for a while without problems.
Condition
I'm a pretty decent judge of condition, and I'll tell you what I honestly think a book would grade out as. I won't give you that "I'm not a professional grader" line. Well, duh, of course you're not a professional grader. If you were, you wouldn't be selling on eBay, now would you? If I can't take a good guess at the grade, I'll try to take more photos, so you can make your own call. And if on a listing where I only include one or two photos, you want to see more, just ask. I will do my best to accommodate requests.
About my photos. If I see a defect or flaw, I will photograph it in a light and at an angle where you can really see it. A lot of sellers on eBay scan their comics, so you really can't see cover indents, for instance. More than once, I have heard back from buyers that their books are better than expected.
Shipping
I only ship to the U.S. using the U.S. Postal service using either First Class or Priority.
I ship very securely. You don't want problems. I don't want problems. So I ship just a couple of ways, just like I like to see my books arrive to me.
For most single issues under $50 I will ship for $4.75 in a carboard comic mailer. Sometimes I do ship in a bubble mailer, but only with adequate carboard protection. Look at my reviews; never a complaint about my standard of shipping This just covers my cost. If you see someone shipping for less, they're probably cutting corners. I don't. If you buy from people who ship Media Mail, you will get burned. Those packages stay in transit longer and are treated like hockey pucks.
Graded books are usually $16.00+ shipping depending on where you're located. (Priority Flat Rate box) Because I require signature confirmation and insurance shipping can get higher on higher price books. I'm never just pocketing the money. Remember, insurance on a $4K book can make shipping $85, for example.
Combined shipping
If you want more than one listing, I can usually find a way to save you a few bucks on shipping. Just message me. It's hard to account for every scenario. In general, I can usually ship:
Some items not available for combined shipping It's not often, but sometimes for the safety of key books or if I've already packed items for shipping, I may not be able to combine shipping. If this is the case, I'll say so.
*** Since I buy comics online, I have pre-used boxes which are at least as secure as my above-described shipping method. I might use these instead, but rest assured it'll be just as secure.
Prompt shipping I will do my best get your package in the mail within 1-3 days after your transaction is complete. If I can't do that, I will do my best to keep you updated. But I usually ship next day.
Your address
You are responsible for making sure your information is accurate!!!
If you buy an item over $50 I will message you to confirm address. If you do not respond, I will cancel the order. If you respond you have a different address, I will cancel the order. You will have then have the chance to buy again. But I will not ship to a different address than what eBay provides.
I've seen this used as a scam before, so I won't budge here.
No returns
Sorry. I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS, unless there are extreme circumstance. I take great pains to make sure my listings are accurate.
