Caillou: Party Fun & Games (sold previously as Caillou: Birthday Party is based on characters from the television program and teaches children ages 2-6 about shapes, colors, numbers and computer skills, as they help Caillou and his friends search for missing party hats, play party games, and make treats and decorations.

Eight activities include crafts that can be printed and completed away from the computer, as well as a main quest. Most activities offer three difficulty levels, though "It's Time to Rhyme" has automatic level progression. Activities cover skills such as shapes, colors, number recognition, memory, early computer skills, spelling, rhyming, categorization, and counting. To complete the main quest, children must help Caillou find six party hats hidden throughout the house.

Four decorating themes for the party include sun and sand, sports, music, and nature that change the look of the party streamers hanging in each room. While exploring, players click on objects to activate animations, collect party-hats, or access various activities with the mouse. A short video clip featuring the animated characters from the Caillou series is shown prior to each activity, with another featuring puppet characters shown upon completion.
