Rare Bachman 1252 HO Gauge Auto-Train 85’ Budd Full Dome Passenger Car - Boxed

Lovely Bachmann model of the Budd great dome 12-wheeled coach with tri-axle bogies.

A quintessential addition to a USA outline scene, these Budd 1950s built dome cars were originally seen on famous services such as the Empire Builder, and were operated by lines such as the ATSF and Great Northern. This example is finished in the red & white colour scheme of the Auto-Train which would I believe have acquired it from the Santa Fe in 1972. Even the purple bogies which look a bit strange on first sight are actually representative of the colour scheme it would have worn. It would make a superb addition to any American railroad 1970s / early 1980s scene.

Please see photos for details of condition. Is in very good condition though has a little red paint transfer on one side having sat in its cradle for many years. Box is original but has a little wear having come from a large collection in long-term storage.
