This is a special collaboration between Dale of Norway and the Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen. Inspired by the blossoming orchards, the effervescent waterfalls and the snow-capped mountains against the glittering Fjord, Edvard Grieg composed some of his most famous works at Lofthus. From the pearl embroidered chest cloth on her costume our designer found the inspiration for the elegant rose pattern in the front and on the sleeves of the sweater. The intricate structural pattern in Lofthus is inspired by the magnificent Hardanger embroidery which is found on the shirt and apron of the Hardanger costume. In the neck opening the sweater is decorated with a beautiful and traditional pewter clasp.
