OOAK Handmade Fashion Classic 2003 For Silkstone Barbie RED COAT By Izzidolls

"RED COAT" This set fits a Silkstone.
Barbie is looking very smart in this classic three-quarter length coat and dress. The coat is made from red lightweight wool suiting. The dress fabric is black silk dupioni.
The coat has a fitted top with the skirt being fuller. It is double breasted with two lines of black beads for mock buttons. The collar is a high stand-up one, in keeping with the military origins of this classic style of coat. The sleeves are very full at the top, with stitched pleats, tapering into much narrower cuffs, again with pleat detail. Two small black seed beads trim the cuffs. The skirt of the coat has a lightly gathered panel insert at the front. Black velvet ribbon trim is used for the mock belt feature at the sides. Fastening is with snaps at the front.
The dress is an essential little black number. It has a deep 'v' neckline with the straps just sitting on the shoulder and no more. The neckline is trimmed with a scattering of red seed beads that catch the light.
The hat is made from the same fabric as the coat and is trimmed with a black scroll braid and black velvet bow to the rear. It has a deep turned up brim. It does sit on Barbie's head ; however hatpins are provided to hold it securely in place.
Completing this outfit is a purse (handbag) made from satin braid and long black gloves.
Please note, this outfit has been cut to fit a Silkstone Barbie and will not fit any other Barbie.
Doll, Stand, Furniture and Jewelry NOT included. I have added a pair of black shoes to the outfit.
