THIS LISTING IS FOR AN AFTERMARKET STAINLESS STEEL REBUILD KIT FOR A SET OF FOUR BBS/BMW RC041/RC042 2-PIECE SPLIT RIM WHEELS.


The pictures show my own wheels that I rebuilt with this kit over five years ago and have exposed them to thousands of miles of use on salted winter roads, track days and countless cleaning/polishing cycles. The bolts have performed perfectly and still look as new, as do the nuts on the reverse side. Chrome/gold plated or painted bolts WILL NOT look this good after 5 years believe me!! And the standard nuts will be rusted and crusty.


The Style 29 wheel is popular on the E36 3-series, including the 328i Sport. I ran these on my E36 and now my E46.

This kit includes everything you need to fully rebuild a set of four (or a kit for five wheels for £22 extra if you have a BBS RC 041/42 spare too) split rim wheels - all new stainless steel hardware, full instructions and torque data.

ALL hardware is brand new stainless steel. The bolts are a special grade high-strength stainless steel from Sweden, chosen for it’s superior corrosion resistance and strength - these bolts are as strong as the originals but will never rust! They come with a lifetime guarantee.


The bolts have a smooth profile head for the best finish and easier cleaning/polishing - no more cut knuckles or split sponges as the head of the bolts is a smooth, rounded profile. Sponges and polishing cloths just glide over the heads of these bolts. And as an added bonus, the smoother profile of the heads also enhances the dish of the wheel, making it appear deeper.



These new nuts and bolts WILL NOT rust or stain like the standard ones (even new chromed/coloured/gold-plated standard bolts will rust).


This aftermarket kit contains very high quality stainless steel internal hex-drive bolts, NOT the original-type splined studs that suffer from rust problems and seizing in the wheels.


Original type studs are very expensive and I would never use them on a rebuild as they are not available in stainless steel so will always rust again. This kit is also easier to rebuild with as they are non-splined allen-key head bolts as opposed to the originals which are pressed-in splined studs so these will not seize in the rim like the originals so often do. They are also easier to live with when cleaning/polishing your wheels and much better looking.

No special tools are required with this kit, just an allen key/but socket for the bolt side and a regular 13mm socket for the rear side nut.

This full kit really is the perfect alternative to new original-type studs costing well over £200 (and that’s studs only, WITHOUT new nuts). And bear in mind that new chromed/polished/painted studs will rust again, whereas these WILL NOT RUST OR STAIN but will stay looking new forever.
