Military issue WW1 snipers telescope.

Dated 1915.

Made by H C Ryland & Sons Ltd.

Slides open to an extended length of 34 inches.

Lovely condition leather casing.

The exterior shows a few dinks here and there but only to be expected ones, photographed.

Once open it is possible to view thru the telescope itself. We seem to be unable to "focus" on a far away object but we maybe doing something wrong. Nothing is loose internally or externally.

The lens cover moves correctly.

The end glass shows signs of a milky centre on its inside. There is a small chip at the outer edge of the end glass. Both of these faults are photographed.

A number 3 has been carved into the leathers exterior.

The seam join of the leather stiching is all sound.

Other than minor flaws the item is in a good collectors condition.

Authentic. Has a lovely original patina throughout.

We believe the telescope may have been connected to The Royal Scots.
