beautiful original lot of slides, taken between 1948-55, recently found in a large stash of images and ephemera taken by a world traveler, but these are not your typical travel slides,
but a choice LOT OF 325+ fine SLIDES, all taken in israel around 1948-55. THEY ARE 35 MM 2X2 STANDARD SIZE, glass covered film image in metal davidson and plastic edged lindia (swiss) slides, most are hand marked as to what they show / where taken, they come in 12 plastic trays as pictured, the top of the trays are also typed-marked as to what the slide photos show.
There are street views, parks, historical homes and buildings, local scenes, hotels, local people ..... not the typical family travel slides!
The images are sharp for the most part, very well taken, most likely by an experienced amateur photographer with a good camera, most have very good color, a few have ektachrome-type film.
The 12 trays of 325+ slides are all marked israel
Most of the slides are still in their place, they might be out of place one or two spots as i took most of them out to photograph them!
