Offered from a local NJ estate is an ornate silver-plate basket made in USA by amaker signed with Olde English style Initials that are hard to read, see photos
the basket is completely covered with a dense, fine and ornate pattern that includes
a small cameo of a tavern scene surround by floral swags, shells, masks of women,
windmills, bellflowers, roses, rolling swag, tight rows of arrow like feathers or leaves
Really wonderful work on a small basket:
6 1/4" across and 4" wide
with an oval base 4 1/4" x 2 3/4"
Handle is squared off and 11"
Basket is about 3 1/2" deep not including base
Dark patina but no dent or dings
and just a great look for any collection
