This listing is for a vintage Henri Selmer (Paris) metal Bb clarinet. This is one of a very few high end metal clarinet models. The Selmer Paris metal clarinet is exceedingly rare. This is the first one I've come across in nearly 20 years of buying and selling woodwind gear! This is a four section model, like most standard clarinets. It has the Selmer crest on all four sections, and the serial number 5130 on the two main sections.

This clarinet is being sold as is for restoration. It is not currently in playing condition and will require a full overhaul to be made playable. It is, however, in very good physical condition. The body is straight. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the rim of the bell, but other than that there are no dents or dings. The rim of the bell has not been bent, or  flattened. The microtuner on the barrel is turning, but it isn't actually telescoping the barrel as it should. I'm not sure what the problem is, so please keep this in mind. The original screw for tightening the barrel is missing. It has been replaced with a common generic screw with a slotted head. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly when released. There is one missing pivot screw. The silver plate finish is essentially fully intact, albeit heavily tarnished. The pads and corks are definitely shot. Multiple pads have fallen out. This instrument comes in what I presume to be a non-original case. The case is solid, but well worn. The latches close with some difficulty. The inside is slightly musty.
