Here is an absolutely stunning Certina ds podium in a very subtle two tone.

I say subtle, because there are just highlights of gold rather than what is quite often too much.

The hands and markers are gold, highly polished and catch the light on certain angles, as are the crown and pushers.

There is a small facet on the bracelet that have some gold plating but again, only really catching the light on certain angles and not overly flashy.

This is a very high quality piece with sapphire crystal glass, which is exceptionally clear (no, not all sapphire is equal) and a robust Swiss made chronograph movement. Note that all hands zero up beautifully, which is surprisingly not that common.

All functions work as they should.

This piece has been with me for several years and is again, another piece that has become unworn due to life's changes. I just don't get an opportunity to wear it and it's too nice to wear around the house - I'm paranoid about bashing it on a door handle and would consider damaging or scratching a watch in that scenario at home as an absolute rip off, for some weird reason. I can't explain it well. You'll understand if you understand.

This is a high quality watch from a brand that is not that easy to find in Australia. It stands out, but doesn't make you look like a poser.

It will outlive us all probably, and wears exceptionally well at around 40-41mm with a well finished 20mm bracelet.

The box may not be the original one, as it looks much older than the watch itself, and there are no additional links unless they're hiding in the box somewhere inside a compartment I can't open.
