I no longer have the space to display or really even store my collection of vintage bikes, so I'm letting some of them go.

This listing is for

Trek 9000 from 1992

You can read a review here

https://mbaction.com/throwback-thursday-1992-trek-9000-review-the-pros-and-cons-of-simplicity/

All things that were great and bad about early 90s MTB. A classic for any collection or to show off in a trek store.

Spec is a mix of the stock spec and some changes made by the previous owner

DX rear mech

DX front mech

DX hubs on matrix single track comp rims

Shimano cranks Pk date stam, which puts the bike build at November 1991, which is right for components shipped to Trek in time for the 1992 launch of this bike.

X-lite titanium bars

Shimano Xt thumb shifters

Trek DDS3 forks

Dia Comp SS 7 brake levers and I think dia comp Cantilevers

Pro Lite stem

Random pedals, saddle seatpost

IRC Mythos XC 2.1 tyres

I think x-lite bar ends

C2t on seat tube is close to 18”

C2c on top tube is 21.5”

I'm listing this and a load of other bits at 99p starting bid, 7 day auction.  No reserve, so the market can decide the value.

I need to clear some space, so need it all gone.

Happy to consider offers to end early.

This would look amazing in any collection of vintage bikes, but as this is Trek's first ever full suspension MTB, I would love to see it go to a Trek store and be on display somewhere to show how far the brand has come in 30+ years of MTB suspension technology.
