A very rare early metal mechanical pencil. Patent No. 236475 dates this pencil to 1881. Made in Germany. Multi-color mechanical pencil leads.  Nice metal barrel. Very solid piece!  The pencil has not been tested but looks to be in good original condition! Nice piece and unique addition to a collection...not many of these were made and have survived the years!
