“Rare 1977 Chevrolet Scottsdale
Pick Up 2wd with a 6-foot Fleetside box. Matching numbers 454 V8 engine.
Vehicle vin CCS447Z152043. Turbo 400 transmission, factory tach, tilt wheel and
aux fuel tank. This truck was ordered new in Quincy, California by the original
owner, took delivery February 1977. The truck was purchased in Oct 2004 from
the original owner. From 2004 to 2007, a complete frame off restoration took
place. The odometer reading was 73,783 miles. As per the owner it had 173,783
actual miles. In 1977 the odometer would read a 5-digit number. It was parked
in 1999. The frame, radiator support, inner fender shields and rear axle house were
powder coated. The engine is matching numbers. The stamped on the block reads
C7Z077152043. Also stamped on the block were the words hi perf pass block. With
a manufacture date K9 -76. Oct 9, 1976. The engine was completely overhauled,
bored 30 over. All engine components are original except for the camshaft which
had to be replaced with an RV cam. (have documents) The heads are factory
peanut port heads. New parts, Flow Tech header pipes, distributor, water pump,
alternator, starter, power steering pump, new radiator, motor mounts, Edelbrock
intake manifold 2.0 Performer, Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor and Edelbrock fuel
pump #1722 and Moroso chrome 7 qt oil pan. The transmission of a Turbo
Hydramatic 400 as stated on factory tag attached to the case. The owner
installed a B&M shift kit (1979), new trans cooling lines, transmission rebuilt.
The rear end is 3:08 ratio. The original was a 3:73. (change because of
mechanical failure). The body was removed from the frame and soda blasted. New
body mounts were installed. The original exterior color was Saratoga Silver
with Blue vinyl interior. Repainted exterior with BMW Silver #354, changed
interior to Black. Painted cab, door panels & seat belt holders. The
suspension bushing changed out. Installed 2 1/2 drop spindles, new brakes,
rotors, brake lines and master cylinder. The instrument panel was sent in and
cleaned up and calibrated. The odometer was set back to 0 miles. The reading
now 3,498 miles. Interior: New door handles, window cranks, window regulators,
vent window assembly, head lamp switch, dimmer switch, dual fuel tank switch.
Heater control panel, heat core, fan motor. The original track and seat
recovered. Exterior: New sliding rear window. Rear roll pan, wheel open molding
and T/A white letter tires. Old school Cragar spoke wheels 8in in front 10in in
rear. The under carriage has a sprayed coating. The front bumper is original,
and the grille is a billet bar. The front headlamp bezel are original real
metal. The pickup box is not painted.
