I saw this mini perfume bottle in an antique shop sitting amongst some random trinkets and it immediately caught my eye. It is 5-sided (unless you count the top as a 6th side) and is meant to lay flat. It looks to be made of solid deep cobalt blue enamel and is completely opaque. It has beautifully designed gold plated metal trim that runs along the sides of the entire bottle, as well as a gold toned top. There is also some sort of emblem or crest covering the front of the bottle, though it appears that most of the gold outlining has unfortunately flaked off. However, the pattern is still visible when you look closely. The dauber is solid metal of either copper or deep rose gold tone. When you remove it, you can definitely smell the lovely perfume that once dwelled inside the bottle. The bottle measures approximately 2.75" x 1.75". To be honest, I have no idea exactly when this beautiful bottle was produced. I searched the internet for a long time, but could not find anything similar. To me the style certainly has an "antique feel". And aside from the gold work that has flaked off the front, it is in relatively good condition, so my guess would be early 1900's. But again, that is only my guess! I hope you think it's as lovely as I do!
