From my vintage jewelry collection is an amazing sterling silver bracelet with 25 charms. It is just as I purchased it in 2006. I believe it to be from the 1940's. The charm bracelet is about 7" long and weighs approximately 43.8 grams or 1.545 oz. The clasp is stamped Sterling. Most of the charms are stamped Sterling; the few that are not marked look to be sterling.
The charms are as follows (sizes are approximate):
1. Leaf - 3 color enamel intact, marked Sterling on back, 3/4" high.
2. Coin - Canadian, dated 1943, 80% Silver, 3/4" diameter.
3. Choo-Choo Train - moving parts, marked Sterling on side, 3/4" long.
4. Frame - celluloid? center that is removable, use for photo, no mark, 5/8" high.
5. Disc - raised US Navy Insignia w/eagle, flag shield & anchors, marked Sterling on back, 5/8" diameter.
6. DR.X Case - black enamel letters, opens to reveal enameled bloody hatchet, saw and knife, no mark, 5/8" wide.
7. Stove - 2 openings, marked Sterling on bottom, 9/16" high.
8. Racket & Ball on chain - marked Sterling on back, racket 7/8" long.
9. Bingo Card w/black enamel & Lucky Horseshoe - both marked Sterling on back, card 1/2" high.
10. Sailboat - marked Sterling on back, 5/8" high.
11. Desk - marked Sterling under the top, 1/2" wide.
12. Ice Box - door opens, marked Ster on bottom, slight indent on back, 9/16" high.
13. Galloping Dominoes Container - opens with 2 green dice that come out, marked Sterling on bottom, 9/16" high.
14. Train Engine - great detail, no mark, 3/4" long.
15. Courting Chair - no mark, 1/2" wide.
16. Golf Clubs & Bag - clubs move, marked Sterling on bottom, 5/8" high.
17. Clock Cabinet - delicate detail, marked Sterling on back, 1/2" high.
18. Bell in Ring - bell and clapper move, marked Sterling on ring, 1/2" diameter.
19. Orchid Flower - nice detail, no mark, 5/8" high.
20. Ring w/ Clear Rhinestone - detail on band, marked Sterling on inside, 1/2" diameter.
21. I Love You Horseshoe Spinner - disc spins, blue enamel letters, marked Sterling on back of horseshoe, 5/8" high.
22. Stenographic Note Book - opens, marked Sterling + steno symbol inside, 5/8" high.
23. Palm Trees - delicate detail, marked Sterling on back, 5/8" high.
24. Cocktail Shaker - no mark, 9/16" high.
25. Suspension Bridge - nice detail, marked Sterling on bottom, 5/8" wide.
Great vintage condition, consistent with age and use - clasp works, one loop has no charm (as I purchased it). Lovely patina - has not been polished.
