This lovely, hard-to-find vintage decorative dinner plate was handcrafted by the artists of the UK-based Avon Miniatures, Donna and Keith Brown, signed on the underside. It features the retired and highly sought-after "Blue Willow" pattern, a beloved design of Chinese symbols in a serene outdoor setting first made popular in England in the late 1700s. The plate includes such imagery as a pagoda, three figures on a bridge, a figure on a boat, two birds and a weeping willow tree. This pattern depicts a tale of forbidden love between the daughter of a powerful man and his secretary. A tremendous piece for displaying in a collection. This plate is in perfect condition. It has been stored with care for many years and has never been displayed. I have four of these plates available, each listed separately. Please see my listings if you are interested in winning more than one piece.
