This exquisite Sheffield antique silver plate salt cellar with cobalt blue glass liner and spoon is a rare find.

Both the salt cellar and the spoon are hallmarked with the Sheffield stamp, and sit atop lion legs.

The Sheffield brand is known for its high-quality silver products.

This piece is in a baroque & rococo style.

Measurements are 4” x 3.5” and approximately 1.75” in height.

Weight is approximately 10 oz including the spoon.

Its age falls between 1850-1899. The bottom of the cellar has a slight speckling of pits in the finish (see photos) that can be often found in silver plate. The cobalt glass liner covers those minor imperfections.

I have listed a matching Sheffield cobalt glass lined mustard pot with lid and Sheffield spoon separately.

Imagine how stunningly they would complement each other!
