The clock has a 24k gilt (gold plated) Ormolu Bronze case,depicting a crowned skull king on the top. 
The skulls symbolize the transience of human life.It means that it doesn't matter if you was knight ,bishop or pope-the exit is one and the same for all.
This all should remind to the king himself that he is mortal too.

The clock has a fineenamel dial with the original hands.

The watch has an amazing fire gild verge fusee movement-all hand made and hand finished by the master-fantastic hand pierced and engraved balance cock. PERFECT WORKING ORDER!!! (do not expect a quartz accuracy from 220 years old clock)
